good luck in champions league next year...good luck for your upcoming season, your fans were brilliant...heard something that some fans threw coins at Andrew Johnson, but apart from that you seemed really happy.

according to this site, everton 3rd best team in Europe, including champions league teams.

Quote from: "Nightfox"You are so stupid. We have not said anything about being better than everton. WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO ACHIEVE? WE HAVE NOT SAID THAT WE ARE BETTER THAN YOU! OF COURSE 38 MATCHES IS MORE DIFFICULT THAN 26, But there is a bunch of sucky teams in the lower leagues, so probably we would be the best team anyway. But still, it has nothing to do with how good we are. In fact, we would be much better with larger league, because we would have to have a bigger squad. With only 26 matches, we can't have a big squad like you. And that is not BRANNS fault.

We HAD a defensive problem in the spring and summer. Look on how many goals we got against us in the group stage when we had Eirik Bakke, Hassan El Fakiri, Tijan Jaiteh, Sigurdsson and winters (all from the starting 11) injured (well Fakiri got suspended two matches and is not injured). With Branns small squad, thats a big achievement. You could laugh over Branns results in the group stage, but look at our bench against Basel. Our wings played central, we have a back who dont want to play here, we have no good alternative to play with Helstad, we needed new wings because our wings played central, Bjørnsson who are a striker had to play in defence because of Sigurdssons eye injury, and Guntveit, previous captain a few years ago and plays back, played the match central midfield from the start but also got injured. WHAT A MESS!!... We had no expectations, and we saw going through as a major achievement our injuries taken into count. Point is: No more defensive problems for us.

Well oh god Everton got alot of points in the group stage, so what? I do not reckon that as the toughest group, even Brann would go through from it, WITH our injury problems (and i don't say we play poor just because of our injuries, i just mention it). We don't fear your results. You're overstating. I did not avoid the 10-0 in purpose. If you want to know, we lost 9-0 at lerkendal the year before. 19-0 in two years, how silly is that? Where is the point anyway? It was our two major losses, and it was when RBK was big, no further mention. I have no problem admitting for those 13 years RBK was far up from any norwegian team. Finally, it has changed. And it's 11 years ago.

Tell me: How long time ago is it since Everton last medal?
How long time ago is it since everton last won anything?
How long time ago is it since everton last showed anything to fear? Everton is just a pointless team in premier league which no one fears. Not even BRANN SUPPORTERS. Must be a pity. You have got nothing else to show off than some UEFA results and some draws and wins against some good teams and some teams which have played good against the same good teams. In other words: NOTHING!!!

Do you REALLY MEAN that you will support Liverpool FC if we win, or is it just something you say..? I wont even get near saying "I cant believe how good everton is", because they are not. But I have allways said that Everton is better than Brann, and so it will be for a good while. So I would not be surprised if you knock us out, and if so, I will say that Everton was better than Brann. But even if, Everton is still no team which by far is so much better than us...

Brann beat all the rivals to the gold easilly this season. Can't see Everton doing the same thing. Wow, you win against Wigan and Derby, what an achievement!! We knocked and OUTPLAYED Lillestrøm two times, Stabæk two times, Viking one time, RBK one time, Fredrikstad one time and so on. All those teams I will reckon as better than the bottom half in premier league, many others too.

Fiorentina will certainly be a hard game, but we've won 7 european matches in europe, and if rosenborg can score in Italy we must have a good chance even if we lose or draw to win at home, like we did against you

im sure you never expected 6-1, maybe 2-0 or 3-0 but 6-1 never...now you know how strong we are, try not to underestimate us

we beat nurnberg 2-0 away who nearly beat BENFICA
we beat Zenit St Petersburg who beat VILLAREAL
and we beat AZ Alkmaar away

Quote from: "Bergen Sin Gutt"Blah blah atmosphere and blah blah offside and whatever. Feckin get over it. Its gettin childish now.

We lost for a better team, and they had a good travelling support. END OF.

Lookin forward to go Liverpool and drink in your pubs (hope we are welcome), then go the game and win 3-1, and hope we are still welcome after that

well said Sin Gutt. You will be very welcome here in Liverpool, hopefully the game is good and entertaining and you have a nice safe trip :)

you think that is a foul??!! are you pussy are you stupid!! he gets the ball first, the momentum of both players mean they collide, but neither player uses their foot to foul the opponent, its just bodies collide, then he gets up from the floor to play the pass.

Watch it again, his foot gets to the ball first, and the bodies collide.. no foul, if it was a foul id be furious because there is no foul.

Omg. Everton barely sing when they win. Extremely disappointed with your perfomance. So many people and yet so little noise. Hamburg and Bad blue boys were at leats twice as good as u... Even the relegation clubs in the norwegian tippeliga make more noise... Jeeezzzezzz.

get a bigger stadium

and ironic, considering i heard nothing from Brann fans all game except Booooo when names were announced.

congrats.. but the reality is that Brann was just as good if not even better then Everton this game. Everton won, well done.. but im proud of Brann.. they really showed Everton that norwegian teams can play football=)

unfortunately the english commentators believed that Brann were very slow, the fans were very quiet for the home team, and that your only threat  came from free kicks and corners, the rest of the time Everton controlled the game from start to finish.

and i would have to agree with that, both our centre backs played brilliantly, your strikers couldnt do anything to them and that is clearly the case pointed out by the clean sheet.

you can say what you want about everton, that we are playing in one of the best leagues in the world and that we should have won 10-0 so to only scrape 2-0 is poor etc...but you played with like 9 men behind the ball, we passed the ball around trying to get past you and we did eventually. The first goal was brilliant struck from outside the box. you have to admit it was good. Tim Cahill hit the post, and yes Anichebe was offside for the 2nd goal, but its not 100% obvious when you first watch it, and the linesman must make an immediate decision. You have to admit the pass was amazing.

Finally, you may also complain you are off-season and therefore you should have lost anyway, complain all you want, this is a competitive match, your the champions of Norway, we are simply a 6th placed team in a good league, and we came here and did our job, we got 2 away goals, we kept a clean sheet, and now we know that we have a great chance of qualifying for next round. Also maybe we didnt score more goals because our best midfielder(s) are injured, and hopefully will play 2nd leg. I expect a better performace from Everton next leg, when 40,000 fans are cheering us on. Until then, thank you for a good game, and try to be as anti-biased about your own side if possible

Eirik Bakke clearly pushed our goalkeeper and ball hit his arm, to dispute that decision is clearly stupid. Secondly look at the stats.

some good and bad news, everton beat reading so will still remain 4th spot.

bad news, our best striker Yakubu came back late from african cup of nations, as punishment our manager excluded him from the team for today's game...he says' he will decide whether or not he will play against Brann or not.

looks to be a good game

theres good chance everton will come into the game 4th place in the league by possibly 4 points over Liverpool

Everton play Reading, Chelsea play Liverpool.

Lot of confidence at the moment in our camp. And our best striker Yakubu has returned from Africa tournament.

my knowledge of norwegian football is not very good i do apologise for any offence that people say Rosenborg is better than Brann i suspect they looking at 'history' rather than currently.

i think it is tough game.. how is Brann doing off-season are they training all the time?

Quote from: "Nightfox"EVERTON IS NOT A TEAM WE FEAR! You are favourites, but your team is the team we hoped for, because your team sucked the most of the teams we could get. Why are you speaking high of your rivals? You should hate them!!! Instead you are saying: "WOW, we can draw a good team like UNITED!!! WOW!! I AM PROUD". You should give a good shit in the teams ahead of yourselves, they are your rivals. Okay, i admit that Man U, Pool, Gunners and chelski is good, but you will ONLY (and I repeat: ONLY) draw or win against them on good days. Everton is FAR FAR down on the list of the best teams of the world. Not even top 20!!! In england its 4 great teams.I really fear teams like Man. City more than Everton. Glascow Rangers? Much worse than meeting you. And Premier League is not the best league in the world!! DREAM ON!!!!!!!! That time is over, for many years ago. I think german or spanish is better than english.

You can't take credits for your rivals success. You won't admit it, but you do! You should be an everton supporter, but all you do is showing off results against your worst rivals to the gold. Is it major for you to win against the four great? That just show your expectations and how small you are. With that in your minds, you will never ever win the gold again. You guys are just Everton, a mediocre english team which no one fears. Must be a pity, you are not even best in your own town......

So don't even try to convince us to fear your team - we will not. Everton was the poorest team in the bottle for us. You should fear us more - It wont be a shock if WE get knocked out, but WHAT A PITY for Everton if they get knocked out by a norwegian team. What are you then going to say on other boards? Then the situation has changed, and I can allready see you post: "Well, afterall they were the norwegian champions.... And you have heard of Eirik Bakke?? Played semi final a couple of years ago for Leeds united... In champs league, yes.."

You poor, poor boy.

true not a good time for Everton either because we had our best midfielder suspended for 3 matches, we have a key midfielder injured until february and a striker, midfielder and defender have gone to the African Cup of Nations so currently not a good time for us. But i hear we might be signing Fernandes on loan perhaps tommorow and its the transfer window in england so there may be some new players before the game.
